American Idol Top 16 Prepare for the 80’s

Once again the Top 8 boys will perform on Tuesday March 4, 2008 (3-4-08) songs from
the approved list of 1980’s music list. The apprent front runner of the boys are David Archuleta, Michael Johns, and Jason Castro. The bottom of the list and potential to be voted off American Idol, unless a stellar performance is accomplished are Luke Menard, Danny Noriega and Chikezie Eze. This week American Idol Show is one hour long (Tuesday, March 4 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed). The American Idol voting process will begin live after the broadcast finishes and available for two hour in your respective time zones.
The Top 8 Boys are: David Archuleta, Jason Castro, David Cook, Chikezie Eze, David Hernandez, Michael Johns, Luke Menard, Danny Noriega
The Final Top 8 Girls take the stage on Wednesday March 5, 2008 (3-5-08) to perform
their version of the pre-approved 1980’s song list. Rumor has it that the list each week are only 50 songs. The idol contestants get to choose 3 songs to learn, then are granted permission for the song they will sing on the contest night. The top 8 girls show will also last one hour with Live voting following the show. American Idol Broadcast Wednesday, March 5 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed).
The Top 8 Girls are: Kristy Lee Cook, Asia’h Epperson, Kady Malloy, Ramiele Malubay, Syesha Mercado, Amanda Overmyer, Carly Smithson and Brooke White
The voted off American Idol results show will be Thursday, March 6, 2008 ( 3-6-08) (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. Returning Idol Blake Lewis is scheduled to appear for the Idol Results show to perform a song from his new Album..
On next Thursday’s results show, season six finalist Blake Lewis will return to the IDOL stage to debut his new single “How Many Words,” a fan-favorite off of Lewis’ debut album “Audio Day Dream.”
Blake Lewis was born in Redmond, WA, and started singing at age five. He competed in statewide talent contests while in high school and became a beat-boxer at 17, inspired by the then-Seattle-based a cappella group M-Pact. Lewis was also a member of the Pacific Northwest a cappella group Kickshaw for four years.
