Last night we were introduced to Perrie Cataldo and his adorable little look-alike son. He mentioned his wife’s passing, saying she had been into the wrong kinds of things, hinting that he had had a troubled past as well, but that being a single father caused him to grow up quickly. His audition of “I’ll Make Love to You” impressed the judges and won him a ticket to Hollywood. TMZ has leaked the story of his past.
Perrie Cataldo — a smooth-talking “AI” contestant who crooned his way to Hollywood last night — once had a secret weapon up his sleeve … literally!
TMZ has obtained an arrest record revealing that Cataldo carried a handgun into a bar in Glendale, Ariz. back in 2006, after being kicked out for fighting. According to the arresting officer, Cataldo was “concealing” the gun under his clothing, and was confronted by security and arrested.
Cataldo plead no contest to carrying a concealed weapon (a misdemeanor) and was fined $568.
Cataldo went to serious lengths on last night’s show to explain to the judges that he’d turned his life around since then. He revealed his baby mama was killed for being “at the wrong place, at the wrong time, with the wrong people, doing the wrong thing.”
FOX had no comment.
I applaud anyone who can get out of a bad lifestyle for his child’s sake. Let’s hope Perrie can keep his priorities in order!

Perrie has a darker past than you all know of. He has had encounters with underage females countless amounts of times. perries baby mama did not just pass away, she was shot because a “customer” did not want to pay her. Perrie can act like she was at the wrong place at the wrong time but he knows what she did because he is the one who used to drive her to her “meetings”. I know him and his family, and let me tell you that although he can sing there is nothing “American Idol” about Perrie. He should be in prison at this time for the things he’s done that hes not yet been caught for.

I know him personally and he has never been anything but respectable to me & my girls… People DO grow up! Give him another chance!!!!

Okay The Truth shall be known…I am a friend Of Perrie …have been for a while and to Vals statment Veronica was a stripper and maybee many other things…but she did not do it for herself…Perrie did not make,nor agree with her stripping and yes she was murderd know he wasnt a pimp and know she isnt a ho…shes a deceased mother that would have and still does anything for her son….look with different eyes people…all this is is for american idol to get there rattings up they know exactly what theyre doing …think about it how many people have auditioned so far?????????? and how many are on every blog from hear to africa????…exactly only 1 and this gazzillion dollar company with outlets to all forms of media has nothing to do with all this….so whos the real criminals… I was just at Ps house today Avion his son had a beautifull smile on his face just like his mothers…so lets all just leave it at that…while the big wigs profit of death…which was there produced reality from the beginning….and yeah my spelling is not corect and i am not speaking corect english but it is from the heart

Hey Perrie, I don’t know if you are gonna read this but I hope you do. I don’t know if youll remember me but we used to do karaoke together at the break in phoenix all the time. Just want to let everyone know that Perrie is a good guy everyone that has negative stuff to say about perrie is a hypocrit cause you all have done wrong things, but how many of you can say you turned your life around like he did? Think about it, Perrie is doing his thing now and that’s what all of you should do. Stop worrying about everyone else and worry about yourselves. I GOT YOUR BACK P

I met Perrie “Dasan” Cataldo in San Diego at the American Idol auditions. Even though I didn’t make the auditions, I was blown away by Perrie’s singing ability as well as music knowledge. We instantly clicked and have kept in contact since then. Meeting him helped me to really see my talent for what it’s worth. He really liked my musical ability as well which kept me in good spirits since we met. I don’t know much about his past but know that my first impression and meeting of him was one that I’ll remember. Only God can judge him, not the rest of us. In the mean time, keep going man because to me you deserve it. Talk to you soon man. Later.

That is such a poor show of personality to say all those things about Perrie and Veronica. Honestly, who are you to talk about Perrie or Veronica’s past? Which is exactly what it is.. past. Not to mention, whatever happened to having some respect for the dead? You say you know Perrie and his family– have you said any of this to him or Veronica’s family? If you have the gall to get on the internet and say such vile things about someone, I hope you have the guts to be that honest with the people you’re talking about. The people whose past that belongs to them– not you and is, IMO, not your place at all to be bringing up. You think just because you happen to know Perrie and he’s on TV, you have some kind of claim or right to a flash of lime light? Get over yourself and whatever problem you have with Perrie. If he’s changed and matured then good for him. The last thing he needs is someone like you trying to bring him back down. He is trying to make a better life for his son and you and your nasty attitude, for whatever reason, are trying to take that away. That right there is worse than anything Perrie might’ve done. If Perrie has ever had problems shaking his past so he can move on and be the father he wants to be, he can thank people like you who only try to throw things like Veronica’s death in his face and tell him he should be in prison. Plus, if you weren’t so selective in your quoting, you would see that she wasn’t just “in the wrong place at the wrong time”, but the circumstances and details are no one’s business and have nothing to do with American Idol. So, if you’d kindly STFU and have a little respect for at the very least those who have passed, this world would be a nicer place to live.
