Singer Kelly Clarkson, who is a former star from American Idol, has canceled her forthcoming tour due to poor ticket sales.
Kelly Clarkson, 25, who won the first series of the US TV talent contest in September 2002, parted company with her manager earlier this week, and reports say there have also been problems with her forthcoming third album, My December.
Kelly Clarkson New manager Paul Freundlich claimed that Kelly Clarkson’s tour is currently on hold but she is still due to sing at the US Live Earth concert at East Rutherford, New Jersey, on 7 July.
Kelly Clarkson herself revealed on her Internet website: “In the craziness of the music business, performing is what I look forward to doing the most, so it really is disappointing for me to have to tell you that I won’t be coming out to tour this summer.”
Earlier this year, Kelly Clarkson had admitted there had been some worries over the new album, due for release in America on 26 June, however, she maintained that rumors that she had clashed with RCA boss Clive Davis were exaggerations.
