Does Blake Lewis Want to Win American Idol?
He sure isn’t acting like he wants to. The shocking moment was tonight at the beginning of the American Idol 5-22-07 show. You remember the coin toss. Blake Lewis won the coin flip and could determine the singing order for the show. Was he just being a gentleman?
He asked Jordin if she wanted to go first, and she declined, then he even asked again to make sure Jordin got the spot she wanted. Most Idol Fans and contestants know that going last is the prime spot on American Idol. It is even called “The Pimp Spot”, where your performance is last in the minds of the potential voters. Blake gave up the pimp spot, but also gave Jordin whatever Jordin wanted.
Last week when shockingly Melinda Doolittle was voted off, Blake’s reaction was not of victory for not being voted off, rather that of remorse and solace for Melinda’s departure. Was he just being a gentleman?
Third Point, Blakes Song choice for the 2nd round. He knew he would sing the lame American Idol Song Writter’s winner song which was a Ballad. So what does he pick as his second song. A Ballad. Blake appears to not want to win at all!!
Blake Lewis had received everything he wanted out of the American Idol show. Publicity, Fame, Recognition, and the chance to produce his own music, in his own style. An American Idol title would only hold him back.
Regardless, the earlier voting numbers have Jordin Sparks in about a 17% point lead over Blake. So fear not Blake Lewis, you will not Win American Idol, and we can just consider you a Gentleman as well as a great entertainer.
Looking forward to Blake’s own original music, rather than the cookie cutter Idol Producers versions.

yeah well still. I think blake is a very hot gentleman. i mean he and jordin r very close. And either way he’ll still be better than jordin. His album will be from 2007 not from the 1960’s.

Taylor is right cause, If he did not want to be on the show then he would have never even auditioned or he would have dropped out earlier in the show if he did not like it or for any reason. Yeah, so think about it for a second!!

I think Blake is a very hot gentleman, too! I respect Jordin, but American Idol has seen this talent-heard this voice before! Blake is something that would REALLY give American Idol sparks-not Jordin!

Blake is being polite anyway ladies first and you can tell by Blakes body language he likes Joridin I mean did you see the way he was looking at her while the duet he likes her so he puts her first.
