Bucky Covington Former Idol Reaches Billboard Heights

Former “American Idol” finalist, Bucky Covington, notched his way up to the # 4 spot on the Billboard 200 charts. His debut CD, Bucky Covington, and his hit single, “A Different World,” alos made it as high as # 22 on the singles chart.

An “American Idol” Contestant during the fifth season, Bucky was the fifth elimination among the top twelve finalists. He signed on with Lyric Street Records and released “A Different World,” in January 2007 and “Bucky Covington,” which earned him a No. 1 Top Country Album, in April 2007.

On May 10, at Wildhorse Saloon, in Nashville, Bucky will perform with Sawyer Brown at a Kid’s Cafe benefit. Kid’s Cafe provides meals to over 200,000 “at risk” children a year and offers parenting classes to their parents.
