To a roaring crowd of elated Idol fans Sanjaya was voted off 4-18-07 April 18, 2007. I know many of you have been routing for Sanjaya and have been pretty vocal about it but most of American Idol Fans weren’t to pleased with him.
Regardless of how you feel it wasn’t a bad run for the 17 year old.
He cried a little as Seacrest talked to him on the way out.

Finally there is some justice in the world!!! Poor kid needed his train to wreck! Thanks for the breaking news since I’m on the West Coast.

I actually watched the show to see what would happen with sanjia, now I could care less who wins. I can not see the rating s going any higher now.

I only ever got into American Idol this season because of Sanjaya, before that I never watched it or cared to watch it. It will return to the back burner, because I doubt any contestant of Sanjaya’s calibre will come along again…and I’m not talking about his vocal abilities here. I’m talking about his uniqueness. Enjoy your boring ass show people. Thankfully there’s YouTube…so I can relive Sanjaya clips, or hopefully someone will post a Sanjaya performance from the summer tour. Good Luck American Idol Fan! Kim – OUT !!!

It wasn’t his fault that america kept voting for him, so all you haters acknowledge he was a sweet kid.
A sweet kid, but severely underqualified.
Wooho!

I’ve never badmouthed him either. It has been fun watching others get worked up about it though
On another section of the blog here we have folks calling each other racists and other bad names. It’s crazy.
It will calm down now I suppose – no more Stern, Vote for the Worst, etc.. and hopefully less vitriol and more fun stuff from the readers of the blog here.
(BTW – The main author comes back tomorrow – I’ve been filling in while he was in Vegas).

I really doubt that sanjaya was VOTED off. The show is able to kick people off. and since the idol gives back show, is next week they dont want him in the competition anymore.

The CIRCUS left town !

Note the others in the bottom three, Blake and Lakisha should be in the top three!! I think Idol Execs or producers RIGGED the results and lumped them into the mix to fool people into thinking that low voting could happen to anyone, even the best performers. By the way who is really voting for the odd looking guy with the funny face and large ears that only sang one decent, believable song(the sting song a few weeks back)??? Also, Chris Richardson’s Timberlakesque style has gotten a bit old since he really hasn’t done that well and no personality has shined through, he may need a sort of badboy image to make it any longer. But back to Sanjaya, no matter what anyone says, he has been the biggest phenomena personality on Idol ever, ten million times better than William Hung ever was. He was the only reason people watched at times because no on else has personality. Melinda is too nice, Lakisha trying to hard(but good), Chris is a wannabe, Jordan is too relaxed sometimes, Phil Stacey is unusual to watch and not good(very nice guy however) and My vote goes to blake, good, original, creative performer with a fresh sound.
Thanks

Sanjaya should pitch for the yankees! However, he would have to cut his hair.

How could anyone cry when Sanya was voted off? He was a no talent ass clown (movie line from Office Space). He stunk. He should never have been allowed to go to hollywood in the first place. He became a joke, a cliche. He was so bad that the judges stopped analyzing his performances and started focusing on his personal grooming and dress style. He never was good. He simply was awful.
