The Battle lines are drawn for American Idol. Howard Stern, the Sirius Satellite Radio Shock Jock,
not the Anna Nicole Smith greasy lawyer, is putting up a fight to dismantle the Idol show and mock the contest. It unfortunately revolves around a 17 year old kid from Washington State named Sanjaya Malakar.
The Much Maligned Malakar has had GodAwful performances on the weekly American Idol show, yet has support from a dedicated voting block of Vote for the Worst and Stern Supporters.On
the 4-3-07 American Idol show Sanjaya Malakar did receive some positive feedback from celebrity guest Tony Bennett, but got less than forthright reviews from the American Idol Judges. Simon Cowell how vowed to quit American Idol is Sanjaya wins, commented after the performance, “Lets try a different tactic this week,” Simon said. “Sanjaya, that was incredible!”.
Simon was mocking Sanjaya, attempting to sway some votes, and left American Idol fans know Sanjaya needs to be voted off. Sanjaya barely audible returned a cocky response, “Welcome to the Sanjaya Universe”
Who will win the battle over American Idol and it’s future. Another week will more than likely go by as Sanjaya Malakar stand idly bye as another more talented individual contestant is voted off. Who will we have to thank? The mockers, the jokers and the midnight strokers know as followers of Stern. 
The day will come in the near future were the votes for the worst for the Hair Apparent Sanjaya will not be enough to stop the American Idol Juggernaut. Idol Fans will wake up and revolt. Til that day, have your laughs. Unfortunately a 17 year old will come crashing down hard, as his bubble and 15 minutes of intense fame will burst. Hopefully the pieces aren’t to badly shaken that Humpy Dumpy can put his pieces back together.

It wasn’t Howard Stern and/or his fans who decided that Sanjaya was talented enough to be in the top 24, so quit blaming them and get over it. The entire show is a joke and a farce, and it’s about time somebody exposed it for the fraud it really is. Go Sanjaya!!!

This IS amusing. Sanjaya will go far all the way through the Idols Concert Series. There is no question about that. Stern needs to bring Simon, Randy on his show NOW.

I do not get the deal with Sanjaya.Rumors are circulating that he is getting the teen vote and probably his foreign breathren are ALL voting for him. Other say that you do not have to be a great singer to be an idol-just a great entertainer ( i.e Madonna, Britney) I thought that Elliot Yamin was far better a singer than Taylor Hicks(Taylor fans -I do like him - because he was a great entertainer.The only hope we have is that he wont make it too far.And lets face it other Idol vote offs have made it just fine-Chris Daughtry, Clay Aikens, Kelly Pickler and lets not forget J HUD have done well. I think that no matter how it turns out the good ones are going to be ok. Lets keep the faith that Sanjaya fades out.

Howard Stern needs to stay out of it and let america make up their own minds. He is hurting the ones that deserve to be on the show. I feel sorry for Howard Stern and his need to destroy. I also feel sorry for Sanjaya. He is being used for some big wigs entertainment. Must be lonely to be Howard Stern. I guess it must be ratings week or something. Grow up Mr. Stern you had you moment in the sun now let someone have fun.

I think this has become a JOKE!!! An insult to the real talent who are so deserving of being in the competition. As we all know from past idol apearences, those who “Have It” we will see outside of idol, and long after Sanjaya has shaved his head to be like Britney. My vote is for everyone EXCEPT Sanjaya…

It’s a shame that there are extremely talented people who deserve to be up there getting voted off just so somebody can be the butt of a joke. People should be ashamed of themselves. Sanjaya is going to need therapy after AI.

The “extremely talented people” who we should be feeling sorry for are all the struggling, hard working singers / songwriters/ musicians who have been paying their dues for years and years, still trying to get a break in a business controlled by a bunch of greedy corporate bastards who care only about money, not talent. None of these “contestants” really deserve to be up there in the first place. They are all being “used for some big wigs entertainment” and profit, not Howard Stern’s. He is not making a mockery of the show. The show itself IS a mockery, and he is merely exposing it for what it really is.
As for Sanjaya, he isn’t going to need any therapy, he knows he sucks and is milking this for all he can. The only thing he is going to need is a good accountant to count all the millions he will make off of this. Go Sanjaya!!

this is a disgrace to the intelligence of the viewers of american idol. sanjaya couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket. every week he remains does put the other contestants at grave risk. i can’t stand to look at him and his smart “A” expressions he directs at the judges.

I just don’t see how the VFTW website or Stern could account for week after week of messing with the contest and neither does management at American Idol from their statements. I can’t imagine such lasting dedication for a cause that is dubious at best. I just don’t see Stern listeners marching in goose-step to obey the bidding of their leader. I am sure they have lives.

This whole thing is really retarded . It is like two little kids fighting over a favorite crayon . My opinion ? I think that if Sanjaya wins I will hurl , but the fact is that America is the people who are voting and if they want a lot of Sanjaya playing on their radio then that is their problem . I do think that is Melinda D and Lakisha get voted off then they will get record deals as a sure thing . And Stern needs to stick his head in a toilet and flush !!!

I think it is awful with this situation concerning Sanjaya. He may be a nice guy,but thats not what the show is about.
Howard Stern is showing more of his sleezy ways trying to put down the Ido.
I have been a true Idol fan.and I want this to continue,but if this is not resolved most of the fans will not watch it anymore.
There is one way that may help by voting who you want off untill you get to the top 10,and from that point,vote the normal way.
We (fans) feel so bad for the people with real talent not getting a chance.
Their is too much publicity going on for Sanjaya. I also think the Idol should stop playing it up and keep Sanjaya out of the minds.

I feel whatever interest Sanjaya has generated will be fleeting.His popularity has been significantly generated by Howard Stern who peddles trashsy news. I would not want to have my name associated with this low life.
