On American Idol the Top 10 remaining contestants performed song inspired by NO DOUBT’s Gwen Stefani on Tuesday March 27, 2007 (3-27-07).
Would this be the final end and goodbye of Sanjaya, or would he remain and another popular Idol be voted off instead?
Ryan Seacrest came out wearing a Sanjaya Mohawk Wig which was hysterical.

Yup. Didn’t expect the Sanjaya Factor to kick in this season. Plus Chris Sligh has slipped in his performaces but is 100 times better then Sanjaya Mohawk!!

It is no longer a singing competition, and has absolutely nothing to do with talent. This week, as well as previous weeks, is a testament to that fact. Sanjaya will stay, and maybe win this thing, not based on talent, but based on popularity among a certain age group who have access to a lot of cell phones. Let us never forget their power and influence. They can carry this guy to victory, or close to it.

Is he a good singer? heck no! But he out sang and performed Chris last night who couldn’t get it near the right beat(s).

Chris Sligh is a very talented guy who will contribute to music in our future. It’s unfortunate that a contestant like Sanjaya, who isn’t as talented but has some wierd sort of appeal to some wierd sort of people, is still in this contest. It’s sad to see a guy who really puts his heart into his music (Chris) leave the show while a kid like Sanjaya, who doesn’t take this seriously at all stays on. Chris Sligh is an artist. Sanjaya, on the other hand, is a goofy kid who doesn’t have half of Chris’ talent. We can only hope that next week is the end of Sanjaya. At least he’ll have a future in the hair salon business.

Nobody likes Sanjaya. His votes are coming from men that are sick of being forced to watch this stupid show by their wives. Sanjaya winning this competition would end the show for all intents and purposes. All credibility would be lost. It would be good for America. It would be good for mankind.

I don’t think you guys understand. This is a joke. People are voting for Sanjaya to ruin American Idol. They want the worst singer to win so that the show ends. Most people voting for him, don’t watch the show. For example, I voted 77 times and I’ve never seen the show. I listen to Howard Stern, who has been coaxing all his fans to vote, and it’s been an ongoing joke that I don’t want to end.

Ok…I agree that Sedjiah should have been voted out a while ago. He appeals to people who want to vote for an under dog (in my opion, the same way Ruben won) . I’m not worried, I still don’t think Sedjiah will win.
Chris Sligh was an OK singer, but not good enough to make up for his lack of looks or appeal. It is a singing competition, but lets face it, you won’t sell many CDs with an OK voice alone. I think his performances and singing are no better than some of the karaokee performances at my local bar. There is nothing AMAZING about him. You can find someone with his talent, who also has looks and an appealing personality to go with it. Chris had to go. Plus he was not funny at all!!!

Sorry guys but Chris Sligh lost because his song was, to quote Simon, “a mess.” And Sanjaya is still there because he deserves to be. Look at the blogs — all about Sanjaya. Look at Seacrest’s wig tonight — a copy of Sanjaya’s hair. Last week there was only one performance which had the life and energy of the original British Invasion and that was Sanjaya’s rendition of the Kinks.
You all need to stop and really look at what is happening. This is not just a singing competition it is about performing and entertaining. And like it or not, while he has yet to get his voice totally in gear, Sanajaya is the top performer and the top entertainer on the show. There are sites on the web, Sanjaya fan sites which tell it the way it is. They aren’t just negative comments about a competitor who has the guts to go out there and do it, they are positive and they give good reasons to vote for Sanjaya. My favorite, sanjaya4americanidol.com doesn’t have anything bad to say about the other competitors and gives many good reasons to support a brave young man who is in this competition on merit.

Yeah, I had to come to this site to see if he made it to the next week. I wouldn’t dare watch the show that has ruined music as we know it so I rely on fine websites like this to get my info. I guess I feel like American music has gone downhill over the last 10 years. What happened to us? We are the country that produced Hendrix, Springsteen, The Grateful Dead, Pearl Jam, and Ashley Simpson. I can’t stand to watch our music die. American Idol is killing our music. I’m mad as hell and I’m not gonna take it anymore.

ok…this show is going to hell and im pretty sure im going to stop watching it. sanjaya needs to get kicked off. he sucks. he never should have made it into the top 12. Chris is very talented…one of my favorite males this season. Granted Gina is my favorite but Im pretty sure im done watching it. I was turned off last season when Chris daughty was kicked off. he is the true american idol. hes amazing. This show is going to hell and im pretty sure if things keep going like they’re going…its not going to be around much longer. too many people are getting pissed off. (Chris Daughtry fans especially). Someone kick sanjaya off and give the show some respect.

I don’t get it…Sanjaya even forgot the lyrics at one point on Tuesday night! Simon doesn’t even really make an effort to comment on his performance anymore! If I were in Sanjaya’s shoes I would be totally embarassed…he knows very well what’s going on, that people are not voting for him because they like him, and I think it’s made him cocky and arrogant in a way…he thinks he can sing like shit and make an ass out of himself on stage like he’s done for the last two and still sail through to the next round…I don’t know about the rest of you out there, but I’m starting to dislike the show…I’m beginning to think that if Sanjaya continues to sail to the next round “true” American Idol fans will gradually stop watching and ratings will eventually drop…I think that if Sanjaya somehow miraculously wins the competition, there will be no America Idol next year…they’ll take a break for a couple of years, or that will be it. Get the idiot off the show, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!! He’s ruining it for everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

Lakisha and Melinda aren’t shittty pop star material, they’re more like broadway material. Sanjaya is the shittyty pop contributor wannabe. Jordin also has a promising career in any music field. If Sanjaya wins you’ll not be hearing from him again so I do agree with you that no one should worry.
I do listen to other music and that is why I think the above singers I mentioned will be around long after Sanjayaitis stops.
