Jamie Lynn Ward showed up at the American Idol Birmingham Auditions with a sob story, great looks and a fantastic voice. For her efforts and the drooling of Simon Cowell she recieved her Golden Ticket
There’s another North Carolina native on their way to Hollywood to compete on the Fox
T-V show “American Idol.”
Jamie Lynn Ward of Reidsville earned her way west, one of 20 singers to advance from the auditions in Birmingham, Alabama. The 17-year-old sang “Reflection” from the Disney movie “Mulan.”
Jamie Lynn Ward, the 2006 Rockingham County High School homecoming queen, had her own sob story in typical Idol tradition. She told Simon, Randy and Paula that she helps care for her father, who’s paralyzed from the chest down. Ward says Dad shot himself in the neck after he caught his wife cheating on him. Ward says her father also shot his wife.
Will this 17 year old blong bombshell make it through Hollywood to the top 24?
