Of the thousands that came to Minneapolis American Idol Audition and sang, dance, juggled, and tone deaf ‘ed their way in front of Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell, and Jewel, but only 17 contestants received the invitation to Hollywood.

Of those 17 only several were featured on the 1-16-07 show.

US Navy Jarrod Fowler who serves on the USS Ronald Regan in California was one of the contestants that got a go ahead and gold ticket to Hollywood. Jarrod Fowler sang Rascal Flatts’ “Bless The Broken Road” to impress the American Idol Judges.  The 27 year old Jarrod Folwer won a contest aboard ship Navy ship called Regan Idol and was supported by his fellow seamen to audition for Simon, Randy and Paula.

Denise Jackson was another person who impressed the judges with her voice, and story. Denise Jackson stated she was born a crack baby. The 16 year old, Denise Jackson sang Billie Holiday’s “You’re Gonna Love Me.”, and was given the opportunity to go to Hollywood for the next round.

Colombian born signer Perla Meneses sashaded her way into the hearts and loins of the judges with renditions of sang Blondie’s “Call Me.” and then, Randy Jackson requested that she sing Shakira’s “Hips Don’t Lie.”  Perla Meneses has the look for American Idol.

One of the top singer shown on the 1-16-07 American Idol Auditions was that of Sarah Krueger. The beautiful and talents Sarah Krueger is going to Hollywood and is an early contender for the American Idol Crown.

 Matt Sato of Maplewood, Minnesota sang “California Dreamin’” by The Mamas and The Papas. The 16 year old Matt Sato impressed all the judges and we will be seeing more of him in later round.

Michelle Steingas from Exclesior, Minnesota sang Deana Carter’s “If This Is Love”. Michelle Steingas received accolades and the Golden Hollywood Ticket.
