The long season of American Idol is Finally coming to it’s grand finale. We are left with two hopeful Idols Katharine McPhee and Taylor Hicks.
Throughout the competition Taylor Hicks has been a fan favorite and has never once been in the Bottom 2 or 3 least receiving votes. The “Soul Patrol” and Alabama contingency have Taylor Hicks voting block secured.
On the other hand, Finalist Katharine McPhee has had her more than fair share of mis-cues, rumors, innuendo and malfunctions. Many fans have been distraught the past two weeks as Katharine strolled into the finals while Fan Favorites Chris Daughtry and Elliott Yamin were sent packing. Was their an Idolgate Conspiracy? Did Simon and the producers Rig something to insure Kat’s success? Katharine McPhee is an attractive female with great vocal talent, however here performances on American Idol each week have been topsy-turvy.Â
The Betting connection has a slight Edge for Katharine McPhee winning the American Idol Contest on 5-24-06, but American Fans seem to Either totally Love Taylor Hicks or despise him. Taylor will get his votes, Taylor will in all Likelihood be the Next American Idol crowned at the Kodak theater Wednesday night 5-24-06.
Each idol will perform a total of 3 songs on tuesday 5-23-06. Two will be of their own choice from previous Idol performances and one will be the song they “cut” for their American Idol Single.
Reality TV Magazine suggests for Katharine
“Even though Katharine McPhee just sang “Somewhere Over The Rainbow†on the last performance show, we don’t think that she should hesitate to break it out again. “Somewhere Over The Rainbow†got her to the final two, and it could take her to the winner’s circle. “Somewhere Over The Rainbow†was clearly Katharine’s best performance of the competition. Simon Cowell even called it, “the single best performance of the competition to date.â€
For Taylor Hicks they suggest:
For Taylor Hicks, we would like to see either the combination of “Living For The City†and “You Are So Beautiful†or the combination of “Living For The City†and “Something.â€Â Then again, the previous songs don’t necessarily need to be limited to the top twelve finalists performance shows, and Taylor Hicks gave a strong performance of “Levon†during the earlier rounds. Curse you, Taylor Hicks, why do you have to be so darn good.
The American Idol Finals both Tuesday and Wednesday should be a star studded spectacle. Throughout the season we have seen in the audience plenty of “Where are they Know Celebrities”, including Marilu Henner, Rebecca Romain, Todd Bridges et al.
To me the best fitting choice for announcing the winner would be for Survivor’s Jeff Prosbt to rush the stage and attempt to snuff out Katharine McPhee’s McFire. The Tribe Has Spoken Katharine, you must exit the stage immediately!!!Â
I am dream can’t I?
