American Idol Fan Site | Who got voted off American Idol

Wow, American Idol voted off Chris Daughtry on 5-10-06. It was a shock and disbelief. Throughout the season Chris Daughtry was considered top contender for the AI Title.

Once again American Idol didn’t comment on the number of total voted received. Last week it was 45 1/2 million, but tonight they didn’t even mention a number.

Here is a brief overview of some of their comments:

CHRIS DAUGHTRY SHOWN THE DOOR IN A SHAMEFUL CAPITULATION TO THE NEILSEN’S AND MAY SWEEPS…Throughout the entire show, Kat’s got this look on her face like she’s about to walk the last mile. Chris was stunned. Taylor had the same look on his face that Kardajian had when they read the “not guilty” verdict to O.J. He was like, “what the f— just went on in here?”. Kat’s mouth was a perfectly formed “O” for about a minute and a half. Even SHE knew something was not right. The look on Chris’ face, stunned disbelief at first. But by the time Seacrest finshed rambling, I think Daughtry had it figured out, cuz he looked a little pissed to me.

i am so da– mad, that kat gurl should have left tonight! and i just can’t believe that Chris is gone! He has sung all of his songs great with no mistakes. I am not watching American Idol anymore. Like the other people have said that phone business is ridge somehow. I will buy Chris CD anyway! Who on God’s earth would want to buy someone’s C.D. that can’t even remember the words to the songs they are suppose to sing. And another thing i think that Chris is the hottest guy out of the 3 guys on the whole show he can sing and he looks like an idol. What the heck where they thinking to have chosen him as a bottom person and then kick him off the show. Da– idiots

What the he**? He has been by far my favorite. I voted one time for him when they were picking the final 12 – UNTIL last night. Last night I sat there hitting redial for an hour or more, got to vote about 50 to 60 times. It seems like they pull something about this time every season so I re-dialed away. So, how many others out there may have done the same? People who haven’t voted but did last night. I know I got a busy signal more times than I got through until later in the hour and then I got through more often. He was by far the best of the bunch left. I just can’t see the others making the kind of album that will sell millions!

Many more fans stated they would no longer watch the show.  In all honesty we would really like to know more about the votes.  I always liked the Survivor Style Voting process where you vote one off instead of American Idol voting for your favorite. I think that system is more accurate and fair.

A+E Intereactive stated: Even though some Web sites were predicting this outcome, my gut just wouldn’t let me accept it. Rocker Chris Daughtry is gone. Maybe it was his over-confidence, maybe it was his one-dimensionality, maybe his fans just didn’t vote.

Wow, American Idol 5 brings us another controversy.  Will you continue to watch? Are you majorly upset? Will anything more come of this than Chris having a successful career and the support of millions that think he was “ROBBED”.  Humm, What are your thoughts?
