American Idol Paris Bennett was voted of the show on 5-3-06 as predicted.
AE website had the following comments:
I’m not so sad for her because she’s bound to have a terrific career in whatever she pursues. Don’t forget, she’s only 17 years old! At any rate, along with singing, she can probably do some cartoon voice-over work as well — her speaking voice could be great for that.
Elliott Yamin was in the bottom two, which, I guess, isn’t surprising when you look at the past voting trends. It easily could have been Katharine McPhee there as well.
Interestingly (not really), the AI producers had Elliott and Paris sing the worse of their two songs from last night. Paris (Kiss) and Elliott (On Broadway) — why?!? Why not let them sing the better of the two?
Oh, wait! I just figured it out … so they can sing the better song on their way out the door. Ahh… it all makes sense now.
As much as I think Elliott and/or Katharine should be in the finals, it’s shaping up to be a Taylor Hicks vs. Chris Daughtry championship.
Did America make the correct choice this week?
