In my opinion, I believe that the band Dot-Dot-Dot has the most talent and the hot female asian guitarist has got skills unmatched by any other band (she’s a pro).
Dot-Dot-Dot will win the title of America’s Next Great Band period….enough said.

I was a huge fan of the show at first and I loved the idea and the concept soooo much. Than Franklin Bridge was off of the show but Denver and the Jesus freaks are still on as well as those guys and gals that still like dress up and wear make-up. Whats they’re name… Dot Dot Dot. They dude can’t sing to save his life. As long as SixWire and those brothes are still on we’re all right. And you should find some way to get Franklin Bridge back on the show. I know a lot of people that gave up on the show when they got tossed so early.

    Thanks

Dot Dot Dot is still on this show. Is this country retarded? And could someone please shoot Denver in the face!!

I am happy that someone did describe quite well what happened on the show on Nov.30th since I had to miss it and am an avid fan. My personal favorite is The Clark Brothers. It does not matter that they are Christian becasue they have proven that tey can play whatever. They are great on the instruments. I also like Sixwire. I think DotDotDot has real potential as well. Light of Doom are awesomely talented for their ages but I do not think they have to maturity to win the contest unless they win becasue of all of the little “teeny boppers” voting for them. I am simply not a fan of Denver and the Mile High. They should have gone before Franklin Bridge, for sure. Unfortunately, on this and other similar programs such as American Idol and Dancing with the Stars, the public does not always get it right - it sometimes becomes popularity contest, ie., Sabrina being voted off the latest Dancing With the Stars program so early, Christ Daughtry and later, Melinda Doolittle being voted off American Idol. the winner of the Dancing program possibly should have won but we will never know because Sabrina did not have opportunity to stay until the end. In my opinion, the two people listed above should have won their respective American Idol shows. In the case of Cris Daughtry and winner Taylor Hicks, I think this is obvious. It reamains to be seen what Melinda Doolittle will do. However, Jordan Sparks is very talented but was just not as mature yet in her work as was Melinda. I really enjoy this Band program. I hope they will contine to have others each year. I believe it will improve with additional ongong programs as has American Idol and Dancing With the Stars have.

The person that posted that Franklin Bridge should not be voted off is right, they should still be there. The Clarke Brothers was IMO, the best of show for the Nov 30th performance. Even Shela E. was emotional of their performance. Anyway, it should be an interesting finish….

All the vids are available on youtube, just search “NGAB Top __” for whatever week you want.

I predict that Dotdotdot will be voted off this week… they had the weakest performance for themselves (not compared to the other bands) because the vocals and harmonies weren’t very clear and because there was no guitar solo, I also thought the keyboards were too quiet, which took away from the sound.

Light of Doom should not still be on the show (although I think they could win). This was a fairly strong performance, but they just aren’t going to sell albums once the show is over.

Denver will not make the top 3. They’re fun, they’re a good band, I would enjoy hearing them at a party, but they aren’t consistent. This week’s performance will carry them for one final performance next week.

Sixwire are amazing, they have the least appeal to the teenage girl crowd that like LoD and the Clark Bros, but they are great musicians. I hope they make the top 2. They gave the best performance of the week.

The Clark Brothers are my favorite and I think they should win. The mandolin arrangement clashed with the rhythm guitar in the first half of the tune (ironic since Ian thought they needed more players), but was beautiful in the second half. I also love Rod Stewart’s vocals on this tune, so I’m somewhat prejudiced against the harmonies they did. Nonetheless, I think Sheila E said it best and I am sure we’ll be seeing them again.

If LoD was out and Franklin Bridge was still in, this would be a better show, but I still think that both Sixwire and the Clark Brothers are better bands.

FIRST, HAVING BEEN IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY FOR 40 YEARS AS A MUSICIAN/ENTERTAINER, I WONDER WHY A GROUP AS INCREDIBLE AS SIX WIRE HAS NOT BEEN SIGNED YET. EVERY WEEK THESE GUYS PROVIDE A “CLINIC” ON MUSICIANSHIP AND SONG ARRANGING. I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL THEY RELEASE A CD IN THE FUTURE, AND, YES, I CALL IN NUMEROUS TIMES IN THEIR FAVOR ON FRIDAY NIGHTS. SIX WIRE…YOU GUYS ROCK! ONE ADDITIONAL ITEM….THINK WE CAN MOVE SHEILA E TO AMERICAN IDOL? THEY NEED AN HONEST JUDGE THERE, AND SHE IS RIGHT ON THE MONEY,=.

I was SOOO sad when tres bien got voted off…(the rubber leg thing was cool) whoever is voting for light of doom, STOP IT!!! they can play pretty good, BUT THEY SUCK!! If denver and the mile high orchestra wins, i will surely die. there’s nobody left, so GO CLARK BROTHERS!!!

  • 14 Denny // Dec 14, 2007 at 9:27 pm

I have been in the professional music business for 35 years. I can state with confidence that what I have seen from Denver and the MHO is outstanding… they are extremely talented musicians and have a stage presence that is amazing. Granted the young girls will probably not appreciate those qualities (as opposed to some of the other acts on the show), however I would be very surprised if any of the other acts could duplicate the variety of music styles, or the quality musicianship shown by dmho. Further, it is refreshing to see such a group of clean cut smiling faces that are obviously having a great time entertaining. That communicates, even beyond their musicianship and showmanship.

I understand that they may not win this competition because voting is a popularity contest, and there are many more young girls out there voting than people who can appreciate the qualities demonstrated by Denver and the Mile High Orchestra. At any rate, I plan to contact them for a booking a large corporate event.

  • 15 dANNI // Dec 30, 2007 at 11:51 pm

yeah they may be talented, but they should get a new singer cuz denver is UGLY. In your face, Denny… the clark brothers won. You should cancel what you booked because nobody is going to listen to them. the only reason they got that far was because thier families all have phones. If it were up to me, they would have been out the first couple of weeks…. no offense to you, of course.
