Light Of Doom were absolutely incredible!!!!! LOVE these little guys!! They bring hope to the future of Heavy Metal! I was blown away by their performance & really wish the best for them, not only for The Next Great American Band’s competition, but in the future as well!! The Muggs were solid, but in my opinion it’s really down to The Clark Brothers & Sixwire.. I say this because not only are they very talented, but their music is more marketable..& let’s face it..as much as I would LOVE to see Light Of Doom succeed on this show, the sad fact is that even though those guys are incredibly talented, the odds are stacked against them for playing Heavy Metal.

Side Note: Sheila E. looks fabulous!! She’s just as beautiful as ever!!

(Chants) Light Of Doom! Light Of Doom! Light Of Doom! :)~

    Horns Up!!

SIXWIRE WAS GREAT ! THE TOP 5 BANDS I CAN SEE A GREAT SHOOT OFF WOULD BE SIXWIRE, LIGHT OF DOOM, HATCH, CLARK BROTHERS, MUGS.

I thought The Clark Brothers were AMAZING. Insane picking ability and they really got into their music. A+ Reminds me of the mandolin skills from Jeff Austin/Yonder Mountain String Band and Chris Thile / Nickel Creek.

Light of Doom was INCREDIBLE as well!

Light of Doom ROCKED! Way to go guys, you looked great on stage, you’ve got amazing talent. Heavy Metal all the way! LOD - LOD - LOD - you can be The Next Great American Band!

I’ve never heard anything like Franklin Bridge. Go Philly!

  • 9 prodishe // Oct 20, 2007 at 5:36 pm

Light Of Doom AMAZED me! I got all choked up watching them do a song that I grew up to. AND THEY ROCKED IT!!! I have a young son and can only imagine how proud their parents must be.
Don’t get discouraged LOD, if you don’t win a POP competition.
Keep the music fun for YOU…you WILL be stars. Do it under YOUR terms….

Have to say…The Clark Brothers are an amazing talent as well. I tried to find a website for you guys…nothing! You don’t have to win this one to be winners in music. You already are. Now people know who you are…they will be looking for you. I did.

man that girl band who moved on sucked. Like come on they played hey ho lets go its like the first song I learned its easy as hell. If a guy band had of played that they wouldnt move on and besides they should be doing orginal songs

  • 14 Sila // Oct 20, 2007 at 10:01 pm

i am all for the girl band ROCKET. i think they have what it takes to make it big. they really are intriguing.

  • 15 Kelly fan // Oct 20, 2007 at 11:10 pm

If it was the first song you learned, you would have known it’s actually called “Blitzkreig Bop.” And if you looked up anything about the band, you would notice that they all go by the name Rocket. Just like how everyone in the Ramones went by the name Ramone. Sure it’s not an original idea, but it really does make the song choice more appropriate. Besides, Kelly Rocket is so dang hot. Can’t wait to see more of her.

Like one of the posts above, does anyone know what happened to the Zombie Bazooka Beach Patrol? As you can see from this video, the judges voted them through, but they are not listed as part of the final 12???

  • 17 Alicia // Oct 22, 2007 at 3:14 am

Tres Bien was great, probably the most original & talented of them all. I never watch these kind of shows but they definitely make me want to watch!

I think that frankiln bridge have a very unique sound and the vibe that they have is awesome. I feel lkie they will go all the way. Franklin bridge is what the world has been waiting for something that is not the norm…LETS GO FELLAS

Loved the show. Don’t think Clark will be much of a success regarless if they win. Seems to be a curse following these boys. While I do not deny them being incredible. Their sound is so diverse. They are great live entertainers but as for albums, they really have to pick a genre and stick with it. Otherwise nobody will be able to know where to place them. Just because there’s a fiddle doesn’t mean it’s country or bluegrass. Each of these A’s are awesome. I just hope their heads don’t swell like they did the last go around and all the fans wound up with was an album of sorry *ss tv show tune rejects. Catchy and fun but definately not marketable. Best of luck to them. Who knows maybe in the past 4 years they’ve learned something….but above all they definately need to appreciate those who support them both at the high and low times and the time when they were kicked to the Curb and ironically–off of it.

    Rocket is awesome!
I was lucky enough to them along side The honorary Title and Butch Walker in concert back in April. They rock out big time when you get to see them Live.
My money is on them to win, definitely :)

  • 22 Jennifer // Oct 23, 2007 at 9:17 am

The Zombie Bazooka Patrol were voted through to the next round, but the judges had to choose only 12 bands in the end & they didn’t make it. I wish Blackbird could have made it- they were awesome. My faves are Light of Doom, The Clark Bros., The Muggs, & Dot Dot Dot.

  • 23 deanna // Oct 24, 2007 at 9:34 am

MUGGS MUGGS MUGGS! HAVE ANY OF YOU EVEN HEARD THE GUITAR SOUNDS THAT DANNY CAN PLAY! THERE REALLY IS NO CONTEST, THE MUGGS ARE SOLID ROCK BLUES ARTISTS FROM DETROIT, MICHIGAN. THEY ARE HUMBLE, ORIGINAL, AND SOON TO BE UNSTOPPABLE!! TOO MANY COVER BANDS IN THIS COMPETITION! GO MUGGS’!

  • 24 ashley // Oct 24, 2007 at 2:44 pm

i liked blackbird too… it’s a shame they couldn’t do the show. they’ll probably get a deal out of it anyway. that’s how it works these days. i hope they do… i checked out their myspace and the lead singer’s pretty damn hot for a kid.
